FMI specifies a format for exchange of compiled dynamic models and it is supported by a large number of modeling and simulation tools, including established Modelica tools such as Dymola, OpenModelica, and SimulationX. FMI defines a model JModelica is an extensible Modelica-based open-source platform for optimization, simulation, and analysis of complex dynamic systems. I have download openmodelica repo in this link : . I have run a PVarray verification simulation [/PVSystems/Examples/Verification/PVArrayVerification].
1) clone the project 2) cd jupyter-openmodelica 3) python setup.py install To use it, run: jupyter notebook # In the notebook interface, select OpenModelica from the 'New' menu
The MSL has also evolved a bit in the meantime, with the current version being 3.2.3. All other parts of the JModelica.org platform, including the Modelica compiler and optimization capabilities, are discontinued as publicly available open source.

Official Release: 1.17.0 (32bit/64bit). contains only validated new features; intended for productive usage (commit history) (release notes) To understand the difference between Modelica and Simulink approaches, you need to basically understand the difference between Causal and Acausal method of modelling. Yes, I tried that. I only managed to plot the Voltage VS Current. I don't know yet how to plot Power (W) vs Voltage (V).
The platform is maintained and developed by Modelon AB in collaboration with academic and industrial institutions, notably Lund University and the Lund Center for Control of Complex Systems (LCCC).

I think they chose OpenModelica because it has a friendly environmen to model with the blocks paradigm (close as SimuLink but with differences) and so many libraries while JModelica is more focused on dynamic optimization and requires programming skills in Python language (I think that it’s more difficult JModelica.org than OpenModelica). The current Dymola version (2020) uses the Modelica Language Specification 3.4 (see the Dymola release notes of each version to find that out). OpenModelica apparently supports Modelica 3.3 (as noted in the release notes). The MSL has also evolved a bit in the meantime, with the current version being 3.2.3.

My question is similar to the question of janpeter.I study the ebook by Tiller and try to simulate the example 'Architecture Driven Approach' with OpenModelica and JModelica.I tried the minimal example 'BaseSystem' in OpenModelica and it works fine. But with JModelica version 1.14 I get errors in the compiling process and my script fail.
